Mississippi State University and the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems Extension in Canton, Mississippi, are proud to be hosting the 2010 Metrology and GD&T classes. These short courses are taught in association with Mississippi’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Fundamentals of Welding for Engineers
The workshop "Fundamentals of Welding for Engineers" is being offered August 12 - 13, 2010 at Mississippi State University's CAVS Extension facility in Canton, MS. This two day workshop will be taught by Dr. Steve Daniewicz, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Bagley College of Engineering and Jack Raymond, a Welding Engineer in the Body Assembly shop at Nissan in Canton, MS.
The workshop will focus on fusion and resistance welding and will include such topics as welding heat transfer, metallurgy, weld defects, residual stress and distortion, fatigue resistance of weldments, and weld joint design.
