Jessica Short is the Grants and Contracts
Manager for the Mississippi Technology Alliance. As Grants and Contracts
Manager, she oversees all federal grants and sub-recipient contracts
under those grants. She is also responsible for ensuring MTA continues
to be in compliance with all relevant federal regulations.
Jessica was previously employed by the Office of the State Auditor
as an auditor for nearly three years. While there, she performed
financial audits, audits of internal control and compliance with
state law, and audits of compliance with federal regulations for
many of the larger state agencies.
She earned a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration
with a major in Accounting from Millsaps College. During her education,
she received the Else Scholar Award and achieved the distinction
of Outstanding Master of Accountancy Student of her graduating class
in 2003.
Jessica resides in Florence with her son, Joshua.
